This course explores how architects can integrate ecological knowledge and climate responsibility into building design. The curriculum emphasizes systems thinking to help students understand the interdependence between the built environment and natural ecosystems and proposes how architecture can provide a more intentionally entangled infrastructure for living well in future communities. By developing responsive and resilient architectural proposals informed by simulation tools and ethical frameworks, our studios work towards addressing the three challenges posed by CM-A’s curriculum, advancing toward regenerative relationships between architecture and the natural world.
