Architecture Design Studio: Core 5 — Ecologies

This studio expands architectural inquiry to the building as a node within constructed environments and ecological systems. Students engage with systems thinking, analyzing how architecture interacts with ecological networks and how built form can become a tool for resilience and adaptation in the face of climate change. Environmental analysis and simulation are introduced as generative processes that inform a project's evolution from the earliest stages of design. These concerns are grounded in a deep engagement with context, requiring students to synthesize the physical, social, and environmental conditions of a site into a coherent architectural response.
