This course is a continuation of "62-408/62-708: Theater Architecture I," which is a prerequisite. A diverse student cohort drawn from Architecture, Drama and Arts Management (MAM) works with the programming and planning guidelines developed in "Theater Architecture I" to further define the building design (Architecture students), performing arts programming (MAM students), and production systems (Drama students) for the subject theater project. Faculty, professional consultants, and students participate in regular critiques of the design development, performance programming and production systems. Faculty and consultants include famed French theater designer Jean-Guy Lecat, preeminent theater architecture consultant and Drama alumnus Len Auerbach, Drama professor Cindy Limauro, and Heinz College MAM Program Director Jessica Bowser Acrie. Additional collaboration between Architecture students and Drama students in the architectural lighting course further develop the site and interior lighting concepts for individual student design projects.
