This graduate course examines building performance simulation as a tool for architectural design and environmental research. Students explore climate, thermal dynamics, daylight and comfort, integrated systems, and operational carbon through computational modeling and short hypothesis-driven investigations. The course develops students’ ability to formulate performance questions, interpret quantitative evidence, and communicate findings through rigorous visual analysis and research writing.
