First Day Assembly & Opening of "x-change" Exhibition: What’s for Lunch? discursive dining around three grand challenges

Carnegie Mellon Architecture invites students, faculty and staff to join us on the first day of classes for First Day Assembly.

We look forward to welcoming students, faculty and staff to the start of the new academic year during the First Day Assembly. Join us to get ready for fall semester, meet new faculty, learn about our student organizations, and more.

Following the assembly, join us for the opening of the "x-change" exhibition "What’s for Lunch? discursive dining around three grand challenges." The exhibition is on view in the College of Fine Arts Great Hall from Monday, August 24 through Friday, September 4, 2026. Learn more about the exhibition here.
