Meltem Sahin Ozkoc
Meltem Sahin Ozkoc is a Ph.D. student in Building Performance and Diagnostics at Carnegie Mellon University, where she previously earned her Master of Science in Building Performance and Diagnostics (MSBPD) as a Fulbright Scholar. Her research lies at the intersection of building science, urban informatics, and artificial intelligence, with a focus on using computer vision, multimodal data, and machine learning to understand existing building stock and support data-driven energy retrofit decisions. Prior to CMU, she studied Information Technologies for the Built Environment at the Technical University of Munich as a TEV-DAAD Scholar. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Middle East Technical University, where she graduated as salutatorian. Her broader interests include building performance, urban energy analysis, multimodal sensing, and scalable decision-support methods for high-performance and sustainable buildings.
